Maria Margaret Strachan -Artists Who Interest Me

Both Andrea & Lucy are good solid artists with their own styles. I also enjoy work that Ian & Mark have done. It is an expression of their experiences coupled with the use of gifts that they have been given.

Local artists work is always interesting if it embodies the character of the West of Scotland. In 2001 we were blessed by the unexpected visit from a young artist, Brian McAloon, who was staying locally with his uncle on a university course mission to capture Victorial architecture. He kindly asked permission to draw Silverwells House and his drawings were amazing. Very talented. Nuff said we bought the drawings together with some other excellent drawing of Victorian buildings in Glasgow including Glasgow University. These are now proudly shown in the main hall.
